I. Special Print Head Maintenance (Core)
1. Daily Protection
Never touch the nozzles with hands. Only wipe in one direction using lint-free cloth.
Always keep the print head moist after power off: Soak the capping station sponge with cleaning fluid and ensure the print head is tightly sealed.
Fully flush the entire ink system before switching between solvent, UV and water-based inks.
2. Nozzle Clog Removal
- Minor clog: Run automatic cleaning, perform manual ink priming and gentle wiping. Repeat 2 to 3 times.
- Moderate clog: Soak the print head in cleaning fluid for 2–4 hours, then prime ink for flushing and run a test print.
- Severe clog: Remove the print head, soak it in dedicated cleaning solution for 24 hours, then perform ultrasonic cleaning (≤40kHz, max 3 times). Flush with a syringe and test afterwards.
Note: Keep all electrical connectors of the print head away from liquid.
II. Important Prohibitions
❌ Power off directly without sealing and moisturizing the print head. ❌ Mix inks of different brands or types. ❌ Wipe the print head with ordinary cloth or paper, or wipe back and forth. ❌ Operate under drastic temperature & humidity changes or dusty conditions. ❌ Set the print head too low to scratch materials, or too high to cause ink splashing.
